Quito is Ecuador’s capital and the second largest city of the country. It is situated high in the Andes amid dramatic volcanoes and mountains. Quito is a beautiful city, full of historical monuments and architectural treasures. Its jewel is the historic center, which belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. 17th century facades, picturesque plazas and great churches can be discovered there.
Therefore it is not surprising that the capital of Ecuador is a popular place to enroll in a Spanish school and to spend time there for a while.
Quito won south americas leading destination 2014 and is in the finals this year again. The colonial center is World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Climate: high altitude and situated right on top of the equator provides the city with spring-like weather all year round. Two marked seasons: dry season and wet season. The wet season – or summer – is from June to September and the dry season – or winter – is the rest of the year.

You can make the most of your time in Ecuador, socialize with other students, practice your Spanish with locals, learn about the history and culture of Ecuador, and have a go at different sports and activities. In our entrance hall you will find a list to sign up for the activities you are interested in. The activities vary from week to week and throughout the year. Some may depend on the weather and the availability of equipment. Some of the activities are free, others have a cost depending on the type of activity.
Before you can start your Spanish classes or Travelling classroom with us you need to get here. But no worries: There are many ways to get to the Ecuadorian capital, Quito.
Quito’s new airport is located 25km east of the city. Most international Airlines will take you there. From Quito there are regular domestic flights to Coca, Cuenca, Guayaquil, Manta and the Galapagos Islands. All inland flights last under one hour. A transfer from the Airport to your accommodation is included in all prices.

Quito has three main bus terminals. Ofelia in the north, Quitumbe in the South and the Terminal Terrestre Cumanda. After your arrival can easily take the Trolleybus to the city centre. Buses are the most important way of travelling in Ecuador. Therefore you will get to know the bus terminals very well. Travelling by bus is often the fastest and cheapest way to get to your destination.

Your first day in school will begin at 08:30 am with the level test. Absolute beginners will not do the tests and will start classes straight away. The timetable on the first day may be different to the rest of the week, but will be the same from Tuesday to Friday.
